Hey there! Welcome to Foible. We're glad you're here.

These are our Terms of Service. We know, we know—nobody likes reading legal docs. We've tried to keep this as human as possible. But here's the deal: by using Foible, you're agreeing to these terms. If something doesn't sit right with you, let's chat before you sign up.

What Foible Does

Foible is your AI + human-powered calendar assistant. We read your emails, figure out what meetings and events you need on your calendar, and put them there for you. Pretty straightforward.

To make this work, you're giving us permission to:

• Read your emails (we look at the emails sent to your Foible assistant address)
• Access your Google Calendar
• Create, update, and delete calendar events
• Learn about your contacts and relationships
• Store information about your preferences and patterns

We need these permissions to do our job. If you're not cool with that, Foible probably isn't for you.

Your Data

Here's what we do with your stuff:

We process your data to make Foible work. That means:

• AI models analyze your emails to extract meeting info
• We store event details, contact information, and relationship data
• We keep track of your preferences and calendar patterns
• Our team (for Executive Partner plan users) may review your emails to manually schedule events

We don't sell your data. Period. We're not in the business of selling your info to advertisers or anyone else.

We keep your data reasonably secure. We use industry-standard practices (encryption, secure servers, all that jazz). But let's be real—no system is 100% bulletproof. By using Foible, you accept that risk.

You can delete your data. If you cancel your account, we'll delete your personal data within 30 days. Some stuff (like anonymized usage stats) we might keep for our records.

What We're NOT Responsible For

Here's where we cover our bases:

We provide Foible "as is." We're working hard to make it awesome, but we can't guarantee:

• 100% uptime (though we try our best)
• Perfect accuracy (AI is smart, but not perfect)
• Zero bugs (we squash them as fast as we can)

We're not liable for:

• Missed meetings because Foible didn't catch an email
• Wrong times, dates, or locations on events
• Any data loss or security breaches
• Conflicts with your calendar or other services
• Basically anything that goes wrong while using Foible

Maximum liability: If something does go wrong and it's our fault, the most we'll owe you is the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. That's it.

Your Responsibilities

You promise to:

• Provide accurate information when signing up
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Not use Foible for anything illegal or sketchy
• Not try to hack, reverse engineer, or break our service
• Not resell or redistribute Foible access
• Be nice to our team (if you're on the Executive Partner plan)

Payments and Refunds

Billing: We charge monthly. Your card gets charged automatically each month until you cancel.

Free trials: If you used a promo code for a free trial, your card will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first.

No refunds: We don't offer refunds. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access until the end of your billing period, but we won't prorate it.

Failed payments: If your payment fails, we'll try a few times. If it keeps failing, we'll pause your service. You've got a bit of time to fix it, but eventually we'll cancel your account.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your settings. No hard feelings.

When you cancel:

• Your access continues until the end of your current billing period
• After that, we stop processing your emails
• Your data gets deleted within 30 days (see "Your Data" above)
• We won't charge you again

We can also cancel your account if you:

• Violate these terms
• Use Foible in ways that harm our service or other users
• Don't pay your bill

Changes to the Service

We're constantly improving Foible. That means:

• Features might change or disappear
• Pricing might change (we'll give you notice)
• These terms might change (we'll let you know)

If we make big changes, we'll email you. If you keep using Foible after we announce changes, that means you're cool with them.

AI and Automated Processing

Just so we're clear: Foible uses AI to process your emails. That means:

• Automated systems are reading your emails and making decisions
• We're training our models on how people schedule meetings (but not on your specific data without permission)
• AI can make mistakes—please double-check important events

For Executive Partner plan users: Real humans will also review your emails and schedule events. Those humans are bound by confidentiality agreements, but they will see your email content.

Third-Party Services

Foible integrates with:

• Google (for Gmail and Calendar)
• Stripe (for payments)
• Various other tools

Their terms and privacy policies apply too. We're not responsible for how they handle your data.

Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Check out our Privacy Policy for the full story.

Quick version:

• We only collect what we need
• We don't sell your data
• We use industry-standard security
• You can request your data or delete your account anytime

Legal Stuff

Disputes: If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out like adults. If that doesn't work, we'll handle it through arbitration (not a lawsuit). Arbitration is faster and cheaper for everyone.

Location: These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes get resolved there.

Entire Agreement: This is the whole deal. Any previous agreements or conversations don't count—just what's written here.

Severability: If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

No Waiver: If we don't enforce part of these terms, that doesn't mean we've waived our right to enforce it later.
